The Stage 32 Videos: Vfx Showreel

Excited to share some of my animation work on The Old Guard 2, featured in Scanline VFX’s recent breakdown reel. The opening sequence with the driver, the two motorcycles, and the man trapped between two cars was my animation.

As a Senior Creature Animator at Scanline VFX, I contributed to the complex creature performances and high-fidelity motion sequences showcased in this episode. My role involved refining cinematic action and ensuring the seamless integration of massive-scale monsters within the series' VFX pipeline. Proud to share the CGI Breakdown for Kare, my latest independent short film. This isn’t just visual effects — it’s handcrafted storytelling. Every frame was built from scratch, using traditional 3D and compositing techniques across Cinema 4D, Foundry Nuke, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve. No AI shortcuts. No templates. Just thousands of decisions, keyframes, and sleepless nights. Kare is a film where technology is not the hero — it’s merely the language I use to ask bigger questions about who we are, how we see the world, and how our perceptions trap us. The CGI elements in Kare are subtle, almost invisible at times, serving only to enhance the emotional and philosophical weight of the story. I’m sharing this breakdown because I believe in showing the real work behind the frames. If we don’t show how much craft and artistry goes into independent filmmaking, people might assume it’s just “AI magic.” It’s not. This is human-made. Frame by frame. Pixel by pixel.
